Ever dreamed what it would be like to make your journeys shorter by going via the lake or the river without getting on a boat. That dream could soon become a reality as the road transport ministry has set the norms for the operation of amphibious vehicles. The proposal for amphibious buses came from a Goan company, according to a report in the Times of India. The Goan company which is building 14 amphibious buses to ferry tourists around had approached the road transport ministry asking them to set a set of guidelines regarding the amphibious buses.
